Skin Cancer Prevention

Skin Cancer can be prevented with sun smart measures. Be aware of your skin condition and risk and make the following measures part of your daily routine to protect you against the sun:

  • Reduce exposure to sunlight between 10am and 3pm
  • Wear clothing to cover arms and legs
  • Wear a broad brimmed hat to shadow your face, neck and ears.
  • Apply Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen DAILY and reapply every 2 hours
  • Wear close fitting UV protection sunglasses
  • Seek shade whenever possible
  • Avoid sun tanning, NEVER use a solarium or get sun burnt
  • Check your skin regularly for any new or unusual spots.
